Patents

Patent pending. Patent applications covering aspects of Luminoise are pending, and further applications may be filed. This notice is given to put others on notice of our intellectual property and is not a statement that any claim has been granted.

Trademarks

Luminoise™ and the Luminoise wordmark and logo are trademarks of Luminoise. You may not use them in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement without our written permission. Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Other names mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

Research and third-party content

The studies, reports and institutions cited on the Site belong to their authors and publishers, and we link to them as sources. Naming Harvard Health Publishing, MIT McGovern Institute, the National Institutes of Health (NCCIH), Stanford Medicine, the World Health Organization or any other institution is citation of published work. None of them endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Luminoise.

Quotations shown in the App remain the work of their authors. Music is used under the rights held by Luminoise or its licensors.

Open-source software and fonts

• three.js, used for the 3D scenes, is released under the MIT License.
• Syne, used for the wordmark, is © 2019 The Syne Project Authors and licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Read the license.
• Instrument Serif and Hanken Grotesk, used for text, are open-source fonts licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and served by Google Fonts.

Health disclaimer

Luminoise is neuroscience-informed but not clinically proven. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It does not replace professional medical or mental health care. See the Neuroscience Vow.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site or in the App infringes your copyright, email legal@luminoise.app with: your name and contact details; a description of the work you say is infringed; where the material appears; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your signature. We may remove material and notify the person who provided it.

Accessibility

We want Luminoise to work for everyone, and we respect Reduce Motion settings. If something on the Site or in the App is hard to use, tell us at legal@luminoise.app and we will work on it.

Export and sanctions

Luminoise may not be used in, or by anyone in, a country or on a list restricted by applicable U.S. or other export control and sanctions laws.
